Great agency, the teachers speak different languages and are really professional, great vibes. We have had lessons during 5 days with Boris, who is an amazing teacher! He is passionate by the kitesurf and dedicated to his student. We had an incredible time on the lagoon, thank you so much !

Amazing place & team!

Being a complete beginner - this was the best possible place to be! The lagoon was amazing for learning as it doesn’t get deep, is very wide and during our visit wasn’t very crowded. Francois and his team were absolutely great - very helpful, welcoming and easy to communicate. My instructor was Stefano - it was great to see myself progress and how much focus he put on the safety as there’s a lot of knowledge to kiteboarding. 

There are nice viewpoints in the neighborhood!

Fantastic first time kite surf experience! Perfect beginners location! Great team!!

I took 12 private lessons as an absolute beginner and couldn't believe how quickly I was able to progress day by day. The lagoon is PERFECT for beginners! You can stand in the water even hundreds of meters away from the beach, you don't have to struggle with waves while putting on your board and the wind has a steady direction channelled into the lagoon! The same amount of progress as a beginner within 5 days wouldn't have been possible in the open sea. François' team was great and very professional! Stefano was an excellent instructor! I learned A LOT! Thank you Stefano!!

Kite Paradise

Kite Control Obidos Lagoon is a great choice for kite surfing. The school is professional, well organised with good gear and very welcoming. The spot is amazing, beautiful, plenty of space on the lagoon, consistent wind direction and perfect water depth with nice soft sand. My instructor, Joao, is very experienced, was fantastic, listened to me, gave great feedback for corrections and reinforcement, understood my learning style and built confidence. Plus fun, fun, fun! The loft accommodation is very comfy and Brica Da Lagoa makes delish food. Highly recommend this choice! Do it!!

Absolutely brilliant!

We took our 2 kids for a week (age 10 and 14) and the instructors were just BRILLIANT. So so good. Both kids ending up riding and really loved it, and as a mum I felt like they were in the safest hands. We hired kit and also an apartment which made the whole trip so easy and really enjoyable. Gorgeous place, gorgeous staff one million percent recommend xx

Weekend Kite surf lessons

Fantastic place to learn how to kite surf. Have done 2 weeks of lessons previously in tarifa and S Africa and this wins hands down. Not too busy so can relax on the water and PERFECT conditions- the lagoon is fantastic depth with no waves crashing into you when you’re attempting to get on the board. Instructor Robert was with us for 2 days and was excellent.

Great school, perfect team!

I would highly recommend Kite Control Portugal. Fantastic beach, fantastic location and fantastic instructors. The school is very well organised and has all the best gears you might need. I had a lesson with Stefano, who was very professional, calm and easy to talk to. He was very patient which puts you at ease and offers great advice throughout making it an enjoyable experience. I've had only one lesson but would have already signed up for more if I hadn't to leave. If you're considering kite surfing, definitely give it a go and check out Kite Control Portugal. Plus Óbidos is a lovely village with amazing nature to go not only kitesurfing but also surfing, mountain biking and much more! Really good vibes! Thanks a lot for the amazing time guys!

We really enjoyed our lessons with kite control Portugal.

We were both beginners but now we know a lot more about the sport, the wind, the safety procedures, the technical tips and tricks for starters. It was the highlight of our vacation!

My girlfriend and I were in Portugal for 10 days and did a 3 day course in kite surfing with Kite Control.
The instructors were really competent and patient and overall the whole team of kite control is amazing. Plus points also for the beautiful location and nice accommodation. I definitely recommend this experience to anyone who plans a vacation in the area.

I took private kite lessons and the experience was perfect! The teacher was super cool and the instructions given during the course were very helpful. Finally, the course adapted to the wind conditions, which I really appreciated.

Brilliant experience in perfect location

I am living in Lisbon and took lessons once a week for about a month. Since in March it was not so crowded and it is a lake without waves, it was an absolutely great spot to learn kitesurfing, lots of free space for yourself and a beautiful environment. Francois is an excellent, funny and patient kitesurfing instructor. I really enjoyed the time there and can only recommend it to everyone who likes to learn a great sport in a beautiful surrounding.

10 hours with Boris help me to go from zero knowledge/never practice, to a good understanding of the material, the safety procedures, until my first water starts and some runs on the lagoon. The team is great, good spirit, easy approach. The place helps to go trough different conditions in just a week ( from really windy hours to some low, which helps to test yourself in different environments with different technic, that’s great when you’re a beginner).

Great Kitesurfing school in perfect location!

François has a team of really nice and helpful people. During my October stay in Portugal I had 9 hours of lessons with Kite Control and not regret any of it! I made a lot of progress. The spot where they teach is perfect for beginners, you will find lots of free space for yourself and beautiful landscapes!

Everyone at Kite Control was awesome.

I rented gear and my wife and 2 kids, 13 and 11 got lessons. Was a very safe environment, instructors Stefano, Boris and Vale were excellent and patient, great with kids. We stayed in Villa 1 which is super pretty and very comfortable, entire experience was excellent and I highly recommend.
